In 2004, I received a call from a friend that drastically changed the course of my career. At that time, I was looking for new opportunities, having spent the previous 6 years as a software developer, that would keep me challenged.
“Dude, you should come work with us at Omniture, we are doing some really cool stuff here!”
I’m pretty sure I responded with a “I’ve never heard of them” but I am sure glad I decided to take him up on his offer.
At Omniture, I discovered that:
- I love analyzing data
- I am an entrepreneur
After Omniture, I set out on a journey to combine data and entrepreneurism. At Spark Networks, I built an analytics practice from the ground up. At Numeric Analytics, I created a new line of business focused on website optimization. At Keystone Solutions, I crafted a world-class business consulting team.
So now what?
I’d like to introduce you to 33 Sticks – an analytics boutique, advising Fortune 500 companies and partnering with unique, early-stage startups, that I co-founded with my friend and business parter Hila.
Going back to my first job out of college, I would routinely write down ideas of how I thought things should work. I’m sure 90% of those ideas are worthless but I’m holding out hope that a solid 10% of them are game changing.
At 33 Sticks, we are going to put some of those ideas to the test.
